A ministry helping the Rach Suc Mission Church in Can Tho, Vietnam meet the needs of the poor in their community.

BoSM hopes to help the Rach Suc Mission Church and its community in Can Tho, Vietnam in the form of projects. Our intentions are to set certain projects as goals and work to fulfill them. Our recent efforts have focused more on water filtration and purification. As we grow, we hope to help in other ways; such as, playground for the children, transportation, facilities for the many Vietnamese doctors and teachers who volunteer on a weekly and sometimes on a daily basis, and whatever the needs might be.

Serving the needy in Fairfield County

The Foundation Dinners enlists the aid of over 200 volunteers each month from Lancaster and Fairfield County churches, organizations, businesses and industries. Foundation Dinners provides an opportunity for these volunteers to contribute to the needs of many poverty-stricken families and individuals in our community, as well as becoming part of the broadcast system which informs the local area of the presence of hunger and homelessness amongst us.

All of the operating funds for the dinner program are derived locally from the generous contributions of churches, individuals and businesses. Foundation Dinners employs a full-time director as well as part-time help to manage the kitchen operation. Much of work is done through volunteers. Food is donated on a regular basis by Fairfield Medical Center, Carnival Foods, Kroger, Mid-Ohio Foodbank, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Panera, Chipotle, Bob Evans and Pizza Hut. Many other businesses and individuals donate food on a non-regular basis. The operating expenses include all of the occupancy costs, supplies, maintenance, kitchen tools, and part-time employee wages.

All proceeds will be divided equally and given directly to these organizations

The pantry schedule: Tuesdays 3:30-5:30p.m. and Saturdays 11:00 am - 1:00 p.m.

Thanks to all the wonderful people of St. Mark Parish we were able to serve 114 families for the month of Jan. for a total of 364 individuals.
